This drawing came about when I heard a story at my summer employment of a lady whose cat would greet her by sitting on the roof above the entrance door to her house and who then would proceed to leap off and scratch the lady's back when she entered the door. Weird, I know.
Anyway, as soon as I heard the story, this is the picture that immediately popped into my head. I pounded it out in like 30 mins (pencil -- I inked it a few days later), just so I wouldn't forget the mental picture.
I really like this drawing. The main thing about it is that it's got a lot of detail (for a drawing of mine), that really add to making it good. For instance, the buckles on the straps and the rip cord. I prolly wouldn't have drawn those if I were to have drawn this picture, say, 2 yrs ago. The spots on the cat also add a lot. 8^)
